Weigh In Results

Posted by Bridgette at 12:22 AM 0 comments
..and I stayed the same.

Well, at least it's not a gain, and I know where I went wrong last week. This week my goals are to drink ALL of my water and cut back on the diet soft drinks, and also to pick up my exercise.

Another week down, and I just keep telling myself, 13.4kgs is such a good effort so far.

Now, to resist the urge to sit down with a block of chocolate and a cinzano and lemonade!

Weigh In Day Today

Posted by Bridgette at 1:40 PM 0 comments
and I REALLY don't want to go.

I mean, I want to go to the meeting, I enjoy them, but I don't want to step on those scales. I have had a pretty good week, I didn't drink as much water as usual though, and did next to no exercise this week and just feel bleh!

I'm convinced I am going to have a gain, i'm resisting the urge to step on my home scales as I know that could prevent me from going.

Oh well, fingers crossed it's better than I think it is, I think after such a big loss last week I'm just on edge that I will now have a gain.

Trying a new recipe

Posted by Bridgette at 9:53 PM 2 comments
Well i'm trying a recipe from the WW cook easy cookbook tonight. The creamy chicken and bacon fettuccine. I'm leaving out the wine though, and I couldn't find the skim in evaporate milk (only sweetened skim was available) so I'm about to work out how it will adjust points if I use either carnation light and creamy, OR nestle reduced fat cream.

If it's a winner I will post up the recipe tomorrow.

That reminds me, I MUST finish the links at the top of my blog soon!

Editing to add: Just worked out points, well I WON'T be going with the reduced fat cream, 17points for 250ml(although i'd probably need less than that) as opposed to 4points for 250ml of the carnation light and creamy .. WHOA, glad I picked up both tins instead of just the reduced fat cream which I was initially going with!!

Sultry Sally = YUM!!!

I think I am in love .. seriously

I am not usually a chip person, but when I have the urge for them, well it's hard to find some that are point friendly. I tried the WW brand crisps which were, to put it mildly, like eating salted cardboard, the flavour I tried was anyway. I then discovered 28g packs of red rock deli chips for 2points a bag, not too bad at all, but a bit high in points for a packet of chips.

Well today I found Sultry Sally .. and can you say YUM! They are like kettle chips, maybe a little bit crunchier, but really yummy. I found them at woolies, they only had salt and vinegar, and sea salt, but apparently there's also thai sweet chilli and lime, and cheese and onion.

They work out to be 1.5points per 30g serving, so 0.5points per 10g, which I think is pretty good.

The downside is that they don't come in individual serve packets, you get a large pack with 75g in it, but I just split it into small zip lock bags to avoid the temptation to overeat, although even if you were to overeat it's only about 3.5/4 points for the whole bag!

Anyhoo .. for all you chip lovers I'd highly recommend them, and i'm generally not one to rave about products, but I know how hard it is to find yummy low point chips!

So, here is what they look like, each pack just has a different colour depending on the flavour:

ughh mini blowout

Posted by Bridgette at 1:50 PM 0 comments
not a big terrible, can't take it back blowout, but a mini, lost it for a few days, all I want to do is eat, blowout.

I only went a couple of points over, so no biggie really, but I am still in that mindset. I also ate most of these extra points at night, which I have been trying not to do. I'm a terrible night picker, and it seems to be the single most difficult habbit I have to break.

So, last night I sat down and planned out my whole day, with a couple of points to save, and I will save some points each day. I also need to get back in to my exercise! I was going well getting in to it, then gave up again. Why I give up I don't know, I enjoy it, I feel 10x better afterwards .. I'm just lazy when it comes to actually starting it!

So, here I sit, green tea in hand, charging the batteries for the day and I've decided before anything else I am going to go on the cross trainer for 20mins, followed by 20mins on wiifit.

Now lets just hope I can turn my mini blow out around .. I know it's life, these things happen, and I shouldn't feel bad about it, this is what WW is for, to be able to live life without regretting eating things, and allowing for those "treats"

WOW!!!

Posted by Bridgette at 10:25 PM 0 comments
I can't believe it .. I lost 2.7kgs this week! WHOA

SO I reached my 10% weight loss .. I'm amazed at what a good week it's been. The biggest change has been that I cut out a lot of my evening snacks, and obviously it has made a huge difference!

So that brings my grand total to 13.7kgs lost .. Talk about a good kick of motivation

Internet down again

Posted by Bridgette at 1:44 PM 0 comments
Well i've had no internet for a little while, and the computer was in being fixed .. so as of yesterday it's all 100% back up and running, so i'd better give a bit of an update!

As of last week i've lost 10.7kgs .. so stoked to reach the 10kg mark!

I have to say that I am tremendously proud of how I am going. I've tried WW before and not stuck to it, but this time it's different. I'm enjoying going each week, and I'm enjoying learning about different foods, nutrition and exercise. I really like how they have now have filling foods and set points.

I think too the fact i'm doing it with mum helps, even though we don't live together any more we still check in with each other almost daily, and when either of us has a little slip up the other one keeps them back on track. Needless to say mum is doing brilliantly as well having lost 13.7kgs as of last week.

We also did our monthly measurements, I have lost a total of  60cms! WOW

I've also really started noticing a difference, especially in this last week, here's what i've noticed:

- I can walk up and down my stairs without getting puffed
- I feel wide awake when I wake up in the morning, nowhere near as tired
- I am naturally going for healthier choices now without it being such an effort
- I feel much more confident in my appearance
- I feel in control of my choices, and can have self control when I do want to induldge (before i'd eat a block of choc in one sitting, now I can have one or two squares and be content with that)
- Most of my clothes, especially my pants are now too big, I need to buy some belts!
- I can SEE the difference in the mirror (only this week, up until then I couldn't see it)
- My belly doesn't hang as far LOL!

So, I'm off to get ready to go to mums and go to our meeting .. I will pop on when i'm back with hopefully good news! I'm pretty sure it's been a good week, so we wait and see!
